Challenges on the IBS implementation Print

1. During the implementation of the IBS in the sites, we have identify several challenges which if it could be improved, it will provides a significant development in the aspect of quality and overall project progress.

2. The first, which the main concerns is on the authority side. There is a need to have a clear guidelines on this implementation which involved from the initial stage of development. For example, the design submitted by the site consultant need to be compared with the IBS requirement.

3. Had been observed, during the implementation at site, there is a lack of skills workers. The contractors especially need to understand on how important to equipped their workers with the sufficient skills so that they could carry out their work effectively.

1. Been observed the lacks of implementation of ICT at the construction site.

2. Understand the nature of the construction activity which to focus on profits as much as possible.

3. The implementation of ICT had been proved to increased the profits especially when dealing with the remote project sites. For example, your sites is located scattered across the country. As the site manager, you will need to monitor your site regularly for it to be as planned. Monitoring requires travel expenses and time on the road from the office to the sites.
